N-Button can execute many different control actions with its automation features. It can also be set to perform actions during a specific time. For example, it can send an email every time a door has been opened during 9:00 P.M to 6:00 A.M. This blog will demonstrate how to configure N-Button to execute time specific\/time restrained control with the built-in automation schedule rule, such as sending email during a specified time with a contact closure rule. 1. Create a new Condition<\/h2>\n

Open the N-Button Pro Manager, and click the \u201cConditions\u201d button on the bottom-right panel.  <\/p>\n

Click \u201cNew\u201d and then click \u201cSimple Condition\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"iph2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Name your new condition with a unique name, and set the initial status to \u201cnot meet\u201d. It is important to keep track of the conditions and their names for later purposes.<\/p>\n

2. Create a new Schedule Rule<\/h2>\n

In the N-Button Pro Manager, click the \u201cAutomation\u201d button on the bottom right panel, and click \u201cNew\u201d. Finally, click the \u201cSchedule Rule\u201d button.<\/p>\n

Click the \u201cSetting\u201d button next to the Schedule box. Set your start time and duration in the popup box, and click \u201cOK\u201d.<\/p>\n

Click the \u201cSetting\u201d Button next to the \u201cAction On Start Time\u201d box. In the popup window, under \u201cAction Type\u201d, select \u201cCondition Action\u201d. Under \u201cConditionals\u201d, select the condition that was previously created. Under \u201cAction\u201d, select \u201cSet to Meet\u201d.<\/p>\n

Click the \u201cSetting\u201d Button next to the \u201cAction On End Time\u201d box. In the popup window, under \u201cAction Type\u201d, select \u201cCondition Action\u201d. Under \u201cConditionals\u201d, select the condition that was previously created. Under \u201cAction\u201d, select \u201cSet to Not Meet\u201d.<\/p>\n

3. Create a new task<\/h2>\n

In the N-Button Pro Manager, click the \u201cAutomation\u201d button on the bottom right panel, and click \u201cNew\u201d. For the purpose of this blog, we will create a Contact Closure Rule. It will work with other rules, such as push notification or system event.<\/p>\n

Add a new device to N-Button. (Here\u2019s a blog post on how to add a device to N-Button<\/a>), and select the desired Contact Closure Settings. Depending on the situation, click the \u201cSetting\u201d Button next to either \u201cAction when Status Changes from Open to Close\u201d or \u201cAction when Status Changes from Close to Open\u201d.<\/p>\n

Under \u201cAction Type\u201d, select \u201cSend Email\u201d. Fill out the appropriate email information in the textboxes below. If you would like to send a test email, click the \u201cTest\u201d Button.<\/p>\n

Make the box next to \u201cOnly Do Action when Condition Status is as Specified\u201d is checked. In the \u201cCondition\u201d box, select the condition which we previously created, and in the \u201cStatus\u201d box, select Meet.<\/p>\n

Click \u201cOK\u201d until you have exited N-Button manger.<\/p>\n

Keep N-Button software running.  An email will be sent out ONLY during 7:00pm-9:00pm when the status of contact closure device changes.<\/p>
