Both of the push notification board and relay board are from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.controlanything.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Control Devices<\/a>. We already have a blog about how to control\/toggle relays by push notification board.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/?p=4350\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">N-Button Automation: Toggle Relay by Push Notification Board<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We will add conditional rule to avoid Relay 1 and Relay 2 to be on at the same time. That is,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>When Relay 1 is ON, Relay 2 can NOT be ON;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>When Relay 2 is ON, Relay 1 can NOT be ON;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This might be happened when you use relay board to control two different doors or valves, if you don\u2019t want them to be opened at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Be sure you already installed N-Button software, connected push notification board and relay board to your computer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"Relay Board and Push Notification Board\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb.png\" alt=\"Relay Board and Push Notification Board\" width=\"538\" height=\"303\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 2: Run <a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/NButtonLiteInfo.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">N-Button Lite<\/a> or Pro, add push notification board and relay board to Device Manager.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"N-Button software - Add Devices\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb-1.png\" alt=\"N-Button software - Add Devices\" width=\"640\" height=\"346\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 3: Add two Relay Buttons to toggle Relay 1 and Relay 2 separately.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"N-Button software - Add Relay Button\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb-2.png\" alt=\"N-Button software - Add Relay Button\" width=\"621\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You will see the Relay Button widgets on your desktop. Click the button with your mouse to turn on\/off Relay 1 and Relay 2 separately. Green means the relay is ON. Red means the relay is OFF.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"N-Button software -Relay Button Widget\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb-3.png\" alt=\"N-Button software -Relay Button Widget\" width=\"176\" height=\"82\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 4: Add two Scan Channel widgets to indicate the status of Push Button 1 and Push Button 2.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"N-Button software -Add Scan Channel Widget\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb-4.png\" alt=\"N-Button software -Add Scan Channel Widget\" width=\"575\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You will see the Scan Channel widgets on your desktop. Both of them show red. When you press one of the Push Button down it will turn green.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image-5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"N-Button software - Scan Channel Widget\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb-5.png\" alt=\"N-Button software - Scan Channel Widget\" width=\"161\" height=\"58\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 5:\u00a0 Add two simple Conditions for Relay 1 and Relay 2 separately. The initial status of conditions are Meet. The condition works as a mark for relay channel. The relay will be controlled as long as the condition is Meet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image-6.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"N-Button software - Add Conditions\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb-6.png\" alt=\"N-Button software - Add Conditions\" width=\"640\" height=\"470\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 6: Add two Actions List for both Push Buttons. Once the Push Button is pressed, the Actions on the list will be executed one by one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image-7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"N-Button software - Add Actions List\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image_thumb-7.png\" alt=\"N-Button software - Add Actions List\" width=\"640\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For Push Button 1, when the button is pressed there are 5 actions will be executed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lock Relay 2 : It is a Condition Action to set the Condition 2 (Mark for Relay 2) as Not Meet.<\/li>\n<li>Turn Relay 1 On: It is a Relay Action to turn Relay 1 On.<\/li>\n<li>Wait: It is a Wait Action. Press the Push Button 2, you will see the Relay Button 2 and Scan Channel 2 turn green.
