Read the version<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Check <strong>Write<\/strong> and <strong>Read<\/strong>, and input data \u201d<strong><font face=\"Arial\">00<\/font><\/strong>\u201d in HEX format (It\u2019s the Register <font face=\"Arial\">0.)<\/font>, then click <strong>Send<\/strong> button to read the version value.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/image8.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Test CMPS11 with Comm Operator\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; According to 0-255 for a full circle 0-359 degree, (110\/255)*359=154.86, it is about <strong><font face=\"Arial\">155<\/font><\/strong> degree.&#160; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/image15.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"CMPS11 Compass Bearing 0-255 for 0-359 degree\" style=\"display: inline\" alt=\"CMPS11 Compass Bearing 0-255 for 0-359 degree\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/image_thumb15.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Example 3: Read compass bearing 16-bit<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Check <strong>Write<\/strong> and <strong>Read.<\/strong> Input data \u201d<strong><font face=\"Arial\">02<\/font><\/strong>\u201d in HEX format, and select Read Data Length \u201c<font face=\"Arial\"><strong>2<\/strong><\/font>\u201d(It will read Register 2 and 3) , then click <strong>Send<\/strong> button to read compass bearing 16-bit.<\/p>\n<p>Here compass bearing 16-bit value is <font face=\"Arial\"><strong>0x0613. <\/strong><\/font><font face=\"Arial\"><font face=\"Georgia\">Click <strong>Calc<\/strong> button to open <strong>Calculator<\/strong> panel, input<\/font> <strong>Hex<\/strong> <strong>0613, <\/strong><font face=\"Georgia\">click <strong>update<\/strong> button<\/font>&#160;<font face=\"Georgia\">to get its <\/font><strong>Decimal<\/strong> <strong>1555. <\/strong><\/font>According to 0-3559 representing 0-359.9 degree, compass bearing is <font face=\"Arial\"><strong>155.5.<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Georgia\">If CMPS11 module is moved, repeat to read Register 1, 2 and 3 the compass bearing value will be changed.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/image11.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Test CMPS11 with Comm Operator - Read Compass Bearing 16-bit\" style=\"display: inline\" alt=\"Test CMPS11 with Comm Operator - Read Compass Bearing 16-bit\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/image_thumb11.png\" width=\"854\" height=\"854\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 7: Click <strong>Edit<\/strong> button to show <strong>I2C Data Editor<\/strong>. It\u2019s pretty handy to save the list for later use.
