Here is the example for how to use condition feature.<\/p>\n<p>Task: Turn on Relay 1 on a relay board,&#160; only if Channel 1 AND Channel 2 on scan board are closed. <\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Install <a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/NButtonInfo.htm\">N-Button<\/a> Lite or Pro, and connect relay board and scan board with computer. (Get relay board and scan board from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.controlanything.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Control Devices<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Step 2: Run N-Button, add the relay board and the scan board to Devices Manager.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/image12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"display: inline\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/image_thumb14.png\" width=\"700\" height=\"337\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 3: Add <strong>Scan Channel<\/strong> widgets and <strong>Relay Button<\/strong> widget to test the connection. Be sure the widgets will change when you control or change the boards.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image21.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"display: inline\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image_thumb21.png\" width=\"493\" height=\"404\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 4: Click <strong>Conditions<\/strong> button to open <strong>Conditions Manager<\/strong>. Add two <strong>Simple Condition<\/strong> for Scan Channel 1 and Channel 2 separately. Set the <strong>Initial Status<\/strong> to <strong>Not Meet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/image101.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/image10_thumb.png\" width=\"704\" height=\"557\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 5: Add a <strong>Compound Condition<\/strong>, which includes previous two Simple Conditions for both scan channels. Select <strong>Meet All<\/strong> means, Compound Condition status will be Meet only if both Simple Conditions\u2019 status are Meet.(Both Initial Status are set Not Meet)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image23.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"display: inline\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image_thumb23.png\" width=\"617\" height=\"447\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 6: Click <strong>Automation<\/strong> button to open Automation Manager. Add <strong>Contact Closure Rule<\/strong> for scan channel 1 and 2 separately.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/image29.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/image29_thumb.png\" width=\"704\" height=\"557\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Contact Closure Rule<\/strong> panel, scan channel needs to be selected first, and the Condition Action also needs to be set when the scan channel status changes. Here, set rule1 for scan channel 1 and set rule2 for scan channel 2, once the channel is closed, the condition is set to Meet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image25.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"display: inline\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image_thumb25.png\" width=\"566\" height=\"489\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Step 7: Add a Conditional Rule on Automation Manager panel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image26.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"display: inline\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.serialporttool.com\/sptblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/image_thumb26.png\" width=\"598\" height=\"518\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are the settings for <strong>Conditional Rule<\/strong> panel.
