Here are the steps for how to use Comm Operator<\/a> software to update WiFly module to the latest firmware.<\/p>\n

1. Connect WiFly module with your computer.<\/p>\n

2. Download, install and run Comm Operator<\/a>.<\/p>\n

3. Open USB Serial Port connecting with the WiFly module.<\/p>\n

4. Send \u201c$$$\u201d to  enter command mode.<\/p>\n

5. Load ftpUpdate.sds<\/a>  file.<\/p>\n

6. Send \u201cver<CR>\u201d to get the version information of the WiFly module.<\/p>\n

7. Send \u201cset ftp  address 208.109.14.133<CR> \u201d to set IP address of FTP server.<\/p>\n

8. Send \u201cset ftp dir public<CR>\u201d to set directory to use on FTP server.<\/p>\n

9. Send \u201cset ftp user roving<CR>\u201d to set the ftp user name for accessing FTP server.<\/p>\n

10. Send \u201cset ftp pass Pass123<CR>\u201d to set the password for accessing FTP server<\/p>\n

11. Send \u201cSave<CR>\u201d to save the settings.<\/p>\n

12. Send \u201cftp update<CR>\u201d to update the WiFly module.<\/p>\n

13. Send \u201cfactory RESET<CR>\u201d to reset the WiFly module to the factory default state.<\/p>\n

14. Send \u201creboot<CR>\u201d to  reboot the WiFly module.<\/p>\n

15. Configure the WiFly module with your custom configuration. Download the configuration file<\/a>.<\/p>\n
